UNSW College

Patonga were responsible for providing advice to the business in the Design and Data Mapping Phases of the initiative through to delivering the Strategic Design, Build and Integration Implementation objectives which were effectively tested,  embedded and adopted by all stakeholders. Achievements include delivery of the following

  • Managed multiple, complex system integrations centred around the delivery of a new integrated Student Management Service (SMS) that will provide key foundational capabilities required for the newly granted Higher Education Provider (HEP) status of the college and the associated compliance requirements (HESA, TEQS) required for all registered HEP Service Providers in Australia
  • Delivered integrations for the HEP Program including Real Time API, Batch API, Direct Integrations and File Transfers using SFTP
  • Delivery of a complex Bundle of Integration Products for the Students, Admissions staff, Enrolments, Finance, Student Administration, Education and Student Journey Teams within UNSW College
  • Payment Functionality to the new Admissions system via integration to Xetta using the azure Middleware and azure data factory
  • Migrated to the new IdAM/SSO Process using Admissions systems, SMS, azure M/W, Sailpoint with Identity Now and the UNSW SIMS Unique Identifier system
  • Automatic Enrolment services using the new Admissions System and Integration with the new SMS via the azure middleware data factory
  • Payment functionality for continuing Students
  • Initiated closer collaboration with Organisational Change and Service Transition to Operations by implementing a Service Design standard within the new College ITSM
  • Integration from Payments Provider and SMS with PeopleSoft for GL and Banking file transfers
  • Automated invoicing capability to new SMS via Admissions system integration via azure m/w layer and transformation services within the data factory
  • Automated Curriculum, schedule and attendance functions in the SMS and the learning system, Moodle
  • Like for Like integration and functions to downstream UNSW Systems used by College Staff including  NEO/ACS/AEM/Moodle/Calumo and PeopleSoft from the new SMS via the azure middleware data factory
  • Enhancement of the seamless and consistent Student Agent Journey and UX throughout large and complex transition project

Sydney Metro

Project Details

Services Provided

Delivered the complex strategic enterprise Benefits Realisation Management (BRM) Solution ahead of schedule and to budget and ahead of quality expectations. This service is now in high demand from the TfNSW Benefits Teams. This will be the first instance that a Sydney Metro Technology service is delivered to TfNSW.

  • BRM Objectives achieved included:
    • Single source of truth and centralised record on BRM data within the Shibumi SaaS.
    • Enhanced the completeness of Benefits Realisation data, meta-data, and information management.
    • Improved the efficiency of benefits reporting. This includes Business Intelligence and interoperability with the in-flight SM and Transport for NSW (TfNSW) Data and Integration Platforms.
    • Scalable and flexible SaaS solution that can be seamlessly redeployed elsewhere in the TfNSW cluster and throughout NSW Government Agencies easily.
    • Platform that easily integrates with other salient systems (Risk, TfNSW Investment Logic Mapping Tool, TfNSW cybersecurity SSO) and will seamlessly feed into the In-Flight and Managed Data Environment.
    • Delivered the Identification and Access Management (IdAM), cyber-security controls using the Transport for NSW enterprise Azure AD for Cloud Service.
    • Delivered the API integration design that will facilitate automation with the associated Risk (ARM) and Requirements (IBM DOORS) systems. Standardised Business workflows and automated ptreviously manual tasks.
    • Received a prestigious Golden Ticket Nomination which is managed by SM CEO Peter Regan.
  • Delivered the Cost X Construction Project Budgeting Tool solution to the SM Estimating Team.
  • Delivered the Compliance Management Solution to the SM Legal Team to assist them in managing the SM NSW Government Audit Office Obligations in a secure, systemised fashion.
  • Delivered TfNSW proprietary Property Information Management System solution to the SM Property and Acquisitions Team. All sales and payments functions will be facilitated by this service under the strategic enterprise plan.
  • Created and published the Procurement Process for NSW Gov ICT Project Execution Framework Methodology (PEFM) for ICT PMO Governance.
  • Delivered the Strategic Businbess Options Paper for the Commercial Management Uplift Program for Sydney Metro, Australia’s biggest public transport transformation.

Department of Customer Service – NSW Telco Authority

Patonga Projects successfully delivered the Asset Lifecycle Data Project for the NSW Telco Authority, a key Authority within the NSW Department of Customer Service. This included the successful delivery of a Data Management and Recommendations Report.

NSW Aboriginal Land Council

Project Details

Patonga Projects was engaged to write and deliver on the enterprise ICT Strategy. The resultant technology roadmap program delivered a digitalized, integrated, scalable, agile and more automated platform. This enabled the expansion of NSWALC into new business areas which have since grown by 300%. Technology domains featured Azure, Microsoft Office 365 (SharePoint, Forms, Dynamics) Mimecast and SAP.

Delivered:

  • Strategic technology planning, thought leadership and roadmap program delivery;
  • Streamlined IT Service Management Model towards a subscription Software as a service (SaaS) vendor management model;
  • Technical change and project management office (PMO) framework;
  • Client relationship management, Mimecast email security and analytics SaaS services;
  • Geospatial mapping SaaS which transformed the council’s land claiming capability;
  • 80 percent of business and corporate systems to the cloud;
  • A collaborative technology platform that facilitated secure expansion into land development, property management, housing, employment and training, and the Yarpa Indigenous Business hub.

Transport for NSW

Project Details

Services Provided

Patonga Projects successfully delivered 4 large, highly publicised, and complex software integration programs on time and within budget. We also delivered the relevant organisational change to embed the services using the service integration and management (SIAM) methodology. The major technology domains delivered included MS O365, SAP, Flexera, Oracle identity, AWS.

Delivered:

  • End-to-end integration for the Transport for NSW (TfNSW) SAP ERP program. Delivered SAP accounting integrations in Roads & Maritime Services, Sydney and NSW Trains to legacy human resources, payment, and payroll peripheral cloud systems. Third parties included Westpac, Expense8, Taleo, and Computershare. Services were delivered to over 26k employees;
  • The Oracle Enterprise Identity and Access Management (IAM) project simultaneously to the ERP program. Achieved successful integration of the Oracle solution to the transformed environment. This project included the delivery of the development environment for identity services in the cloud;
  • Digitalised AI learning management system (LMS) project for Sydney Trains drivers;
  • The transformative software asset management (SAM) enterprise SaaS project.

NSW Department of Planning Industry & Environment

Patonga Projects delivered a transformative information management service to the NSW Department of Planning, Industry, and Environment.

Deliverables included formalising relevant workflows and the embedding of the service to the department. This included workflow capture, service management planning, training, communications and organisational change using the SIAM approach.
